It’s every parent’s desire to raise strong girls.  Strong girls who will walk with courage whenever it seems the hardest, who know how to pray and trust in God in the midst of challenging circumstances, and who know how to lead with God’s guidance and direction.

It’s strong qualities like these that we all want to teach our daughters.

About the Bible Belles

The main character of the book series is Rooney Cruz who is faced with the challenges of school and friends.  Rooney is confronted with tough decisions on how to act and respond to different situations.  But with the help of Mari, a little angel, Rooney is swept into a journey that takes her back into the footsteps of women in the Bible who faced similar circumstances.

As Rooney witnesses how these women handled their predicament by leaning into God and trusting Him to guide them, she learns valuable lessons that help her make good decisions.

Why Parents Will Love These Books

What I love about this book series is I am able to teach my daughters Bible stories through engaging and fun illustrations.  The message in every story is teaching them to learn how to trust God and to know that He has given them strong qualities because that is how He created them.

It’s not very often you find a children’s book series that empower young girls by teaching them their true worth.  There are so many ways young girls are influenced today by media.

Media teaches them that their value is in the number of social media followers they have.  It teaches them that looking glamorous is the best way to get attention.  It teaches them that being in a relationship with someone is what will bring happiness.  Many young girls struggle with their identity because they feel like they don’t measure up to the unrealistic standards set before them.

And as a parents, it can be difficult to navigate and lead our daughters through all the loud messages they hear daily.

I was so excited to find books like Bible Belles that are not only relevant and fun, but a powerful teaching tool for me as a parent.  It’s something that my daughters and I can read together, discuss what lessons we learned, and how to apply them to our own lives.

She Is Mighty

There is a saying I have heard that goes something like this. “Don’t teach your daughter to find her knight in shining armor. Teach her how to use her sword.”

This is what I want to teach my daughter.

In God, she is strong and mighty. In God, she will know when to wield a sword and when to show grace to those who are in need of healing, love, and compassion. In God, she will find her true identity.
